the poorer you are the more likely it is you will be in bad health and need help.

so the wealthy are more likely to have to pay £0 due to not needing help

taking a small amount from everyone's estate , percentage wise, whether they need care or not, would be more equitable

that's the way the NHS and welfare works for that very reason

it's a step on the way to the American system of health care and "I'm a middle-aged singleman, why the hell should I pay for cervical screening for all these women" that's behind Trumpcare and the like
