i watched the films first then read the books of LOTR

i then went back and watched the films again, suddenly it all made sense, so i wouldn't agree with the unnecessary fluff

just read Colour of Magic (and The Light Fantastic) and i thought they were both brilliant, i'd been out off Pratchett for years because i judged them by their covers and just thought they were for Dungeon & Dragon geeks, but i was wrong - his humour reminded me a lot of Douglas Adams (the bit where they suddenly materialise in a 747 in particular)
