Question about scum investment, barclays , and nch union

Why on earth would barclays and norwich union both accept 20p in £. Surely they could have recouped a far larger return on this. Was it not barclays that threatened to pull the plug on norwich before delia came in. Wasn't barclays at one time headquartered in norwich. frankly this is unbelievable. Not on that but sheepy's investment remains intact.

Its a phenomenal deal unless we are missing something?
