definitely agree with that. Although I do think...

...that right now, we have an unusually high number, for us, of technically decent attacking players. Particularly Foden, Grealish and Maddison, but also Rashford, Sterling and Sancho. Even the defensive midfielders can play more than past versions of them could.

So Southgate actually has a bit of an opportunity that his predecessors generally haven't, I think. And he does show some signs of caution that are a bit frustrating.

The real test will be whether he plays Foden. He's plainly our best player and on really good form. If Southgate opts for conservatism and doesn't play him then I don't think he'll deserve any sympathy - or patience - when we get knocked out early.
