people are always whinging about there not having been any need to undertake the cost cutting exercise that we have done, how we should have kept the starting squad, how we should have pushed the boat out last season and this season because it was our last chance with parachute payments, how we shouldnt be selling x, y or z player etc etc.

Loosening the purse strings isnt just about spending new millions, its also about not having taken the actions that we have done.
