Corbyn is hugely unpopular. Toxic with voters.

Conservatives are not popular, just seen as 'least worst' at the moment. Corbyn has the lowest approval ratings by a mile. Also, Copeland is an area that or reliant on the nuclear industry and Corbyn has always been very anti nuclear. If Labour get rid of Corbyn and get someone like Clive Lewis in they can start to rebuild and may become a viable opposition again.
