Really sorry to hear that, as below though its what works for you.
I wasn't there for my Mum, but that was a decision made for me really due to my age?
Do i regret it? Hard to say, probably not though she'd gone long before it was official for me.
So in that light, if you feel you've had your goodbye that may be the right decision.
