doubt Hucks would want to be here for the going rate for a sub.
But the main problemis the fact that his very presence was becoming detrimental to the team in that too many fans had raised him to an almost cult status out of all proportion to his actual usefulness to the team. Those fans would never be happy to see him as an impact sub - they would always moan if he wasn't starting (look at the ridiculous stick Roeder got even during our great season-saving run last season, just because Hucks wasn't playing).

So ironically the very fans who claim to be Hucks' biggest fans are probably the ones who played a huge part in making it practically impossible for him to stay.
