There's lots of things at play here

If a SD signs players who do not fit with what the Head Coach needs & wants then he is signing his own death warrant.

Some loan players *just do not work*. (I mean, if signing Hucks really was the key to getting out of D2 then why didn't everyone else do it?)
Also the loan market is partly about connections & back-scratching. I'm convinced that some deals are done just to keep the parent club happy (it goes both ways and I am sure we have benefitted in this way)

There was a lot of noise about JHT being able to improve young players, and many assumed that meant prospects from our Academy. However we have gone out and spent big money on foreign youngsters, kids who then need time to adapt & mature. If JHT's coaching is as good as claimed then why couldn't he bring the likes of Tomkinson & Renecke up to the required standard?

Very few (sensible) fans are saying JHT must be dumped, but it is not at all unreasonable to point out that things aren't quite the bed of roses that some slack-jawed fantasists would have you think.
