Edwards - Southampton £3.5m
Smodics - Blackburn £3m
Dembele - Bournemouth £2.5m
Taylor - Scum £1.5m
Mason Clarke - Coventry £2m

And a little further back Ivan Toney £5m

All the above from one club less then 50 miles from us and mostly all sold to then Championship clubs. None of the above fees are anywhere close to what we have paid for Crnac and only one (Toney) is above what we paid for Forson.

There is plenty of talent in the lower leagues that would want to come to Norwich. Let’s not forget it’s not too long ago that we signed Maddison for £3m, Godfrey for £500k etc from lower league clubs.

We need a balanced recruitment policy and at the moment it doesn’t feel that way with the vast majority of permanent signings being from abroad and loan signings from domestic leagues.

Interestingly I got told at the game yesterday that Gordon is only being kept on at the club to help with the homegrown rule despite the manager not rating him.
