Trouble is we sign older players with experience and when it doesn’t work fans want youth then we let them go fans want experience. I thought Barnes was a big loss but the consensus was that it was good to get rid. That lack of experience and lack of menace in the team is obvious. The management team also lack CL experience and at present it’s hard to see anything changing without a lot of money being spent. As regards Attanasio, he said at the AGM that if we weren’t in the PL in five years he would regard it a personal failure. He also said that financially we were in a better position than 1p5wich and Brentford to achieve it but I’d like to know how he thinks we’re improving in fact the signing of young foreign talent seems to be based on making a big profit in a few seasons time but how far can that take us if it takes the likes of Crnac two or three seasons to become decent at this level.
