because the major reveal (Luke's father) in Ep 5 is utterly spoiled by Ep 3.

I think R1, Ep 4, Ep 5 is the only real way to start (maybe with the Solo film inb4, though there's an argument for leaving that till later as well). Then you could go to the prequels if you wanted. Or you could do Ep 6 then prequels. Sequels at the end, natch.
