How you choose to pay will be up to you
The important point is that the govt won't provide you with any free social care (home visits or residential care home costs) unless you have assets of less than £100k. If you have over £100k in assets then you will be charged.
You could choose to use your house as security so that they can sell your house when you die; to recoup the money spent on your care.
"we will extend the current freedom to defer payments for residential care to those receiving care at home, so no-one will have to sell their home in their lifetime to pay for care".
