Firstly, the claim that the Tories will "deal with the deficit" is tripe. They've made

that claim before and failed every time. The only way the deficit will be eliminated is by increasing output and efficiency, and that may require spending upfront. Secondly, the fair way for the government to get more income is to ensure that the big multi-national corporations pay what they should. And that, the Tories and Labour have proved to be reluctant to do. The Tories basically claim that you have to allow the big corps to do as they please because they provide jobs, but actually, how many people are employed by Amazon in this country?
