My targets don't change. I have said its not their fault that
we are where we are but there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that in terms of the current decision over Alex Neil nothing will get done without their sanction and if it is delayed and it ends up costing us this season (and every game is currently costing us and making top two less likely) then costs us this season the I will hold the board (including and especially the majority shareholders) responsible for the failure to remove him quickly enough.
The rest of my point relates to the future and people not being able to see that the "writing is on the wall."
Its a common theme with our football club and factions of our support who tend to instinctively side with the manager. Those fans would no doubt say that others amongst us are too pessimistic but in my view the writing has been on the wall and this current tailspin has been foreseeable for quite some time.
The same was the case with Hughton where despite the fact it was massively evident that we would get nothing from our last 4 games and we were not playing well enough to recover if we dropped into the bottom three people were happy for him to remain in his job due to the fact we were not in the bottom three. Some people though could see that "the writing was on the wall" three or four months beforehand.
My take on Delia and MWJ is that whilst we have prem tv money it just about works as an ownership model and with astute managerial appointments and recruitment we could even establish ourselves back in the top flight and stay there. once that happens, their ownership and wealth becomes less important. However, if we do not get back to the prem in the next 18 months then I am afraid "the writing is on the wall" in terms of our future prospects for success because however much you try and deny it football has moved on and without the tv money even most championship clubs will be out of our league in terms of finances before very long.
