People will always stick to what they know though, feel safer with their own tribe

The more educated and secure in live people become/feel, the more tolerant they are of mixing with other communities and integrating.

University is a good place to achieve this, since schools have similar catchment areas, whereas at 18+ people are more likely to move away from home (not all students do though obviously)

I find most mixing and integration is done by professionals since they had this opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds during their university years and this then continues into the workplace, especially in large multicultural cities
