The other point about the strike which doesnt make sense is that they're striked right in the middle of a negotiation! They havnt waited till the negotiation has reached stale-mate, or final offer, but right in the middle!!!!

Also, public sector pensions are being brought more into line with private sector pensions. More often than not, the average private sector worker doesnt even HAVE a pension and will rely on state pensions.

The strike has affected mostly private sector workers having to find alternative child care at a large inconinience or cost - and for what? No strike has ever made a significant difference in this country in 100 years - and they've only gone and divided the support they had within the private sector.....

massive risk to strike, really divided opinion and could turn out to be an own goal in the negotiation....
