you may be interested to know that it costs around 10% of one's salary to get coverage, and that coverage is never 100%. For check ups and basic stuff I have to pay 10% of the cost (I have a fairly good and relatively expensive plan), while for certain operations or treatments I'd have to pay up to 25%, not a nice thought considering that a heart bypass would cost around 50,000 quid and would therefore set me back 12.5k.

People with worse plans obviously have to pay more and I know of people who've been bankrupted by their medical care.

Oh and of course as you get older, your health insurances gets more costly too.
Shit system frankly and the health insurance firms make immense profits.

In short, the NHS is absolutely amazing and all efforts should be made to save it, regardless of the bulls**t being spun by the c**ts who want it to die. Believe me, we'll all regret it otherwise
