Great Post and True, but a lot of the reaction on here since yesterday is...

...not so much the fact we are going down as the manner in which we were relegated. I think most fans do know what our place is in the greater scheme of things, but other than the FA Cup tie against Man U our performances have been very poor and it does look like relegation was accepted some time back. We've all seen this as the games have been on TV.

You are absolutely spot on with your analysis about what it means to be a supporter and there will always be bad times as well as good times. I think we do know that, but when it appears there is a lack of effort (and I know that isn't the case) and we are cut adrift with our worst ever Premier League season you can understand why fans emotions and reactions are more acute than they ought.

And of course social media is made for being OTT....
