1. Some of you really leave me questioning what "supporting" a football club means. You seem so full of hatred, anger, loathing - for people, groups, generic entities like "the dressing room" - so destructively consumed by your emotions. I mean, out of all proportion, with little or no basis in fact, just lashing out. I guess many of you are using football as an outlet for the rage, hurt, or inadequacy you feel personally - which is a very common and human thing to do. But it infects the rest of the world because it is driven by hate and emptiness.
2. You don't deserve to celebrate the good times if you aren't prepared to stick with the club in the bad. I don't mean "blindly cheerlead" or that terrible abusive phrase "happy clap" - I just mean, back people who are trying their best and trust that things will change, however and whatever that means.
3. Remember the phrase "all things will pass". It might hurt now, but it won't forever. Sir Alex Ferguson would say "don't get too high after a victory or too low after a defeat". Some of you are just crazy now.
3a. How many of you are really used to committing to something, believing the best of it, contributing to it constructively even when it's not great? Relationships, jobs, projects? Or do you just cast it off and look for something "better" which, oh yeah, a few years later don't make your life any better - you are just a bit older and a bit sadder? The opportunity that every single football fan has through football is to learn to STAY, to BELIEVE, to CONTRIBUTE, and to HEAL your own sadness by really being in something and believing in its goodness.
4. Many of you seem to want your FIFA Career Mode or your Football Manager save to just play out in real life, and you can't understand why that doesn't happen, so you lash out. Just because in your fantasy world it's now 2025 and NCFC have won the Champions League for the 4th time in a row with a forward line of Suarez, Kane, and Dybala. And you judge the real world by that measure. You'd do everyone a favour to really grasp the difference between those two things.
5. Really, you've got to break the link between spending and success. Look at Villa. Look at Leeds, Forest, Sunderland, the scum, etc etc. All the clubs that have spunked and flunked. Look at Pukki, Buendia, Krul, etc etc. OK they aren't world-beaters but you had no issue this time last year did you. Just because (again) on FIFA you build NCFC up and jack £80m on a player who tears the place up - that is NOT how the real world works. We DON'T have the money, we don't always NEED the money - money is NOT the perfect solution to everything. Would you rather go out of business? Would you rather support Wigan or (again) Ips**t f**king Town right now? Get behind the reality of where we are! We are remaining (relatively) sane in a completely mad world, where the weekly wages of even one player at a top club could keep hundreds of people housed and fed for a year, where people with not enough money nevertheless spend too much on TV subscriptions to make greedy tax evaders even richer, where everything is upside down.
Perhaps at the heart of a lot of this is a sadness that this thing we used to call a SPORT is instead now very much an INDUSTRY - a BUSINESS like film, TV, etc - and the money has ruined it. But really, the answer is NOT to throw our morals out like everyone else. You HAVE to stop and appreciate who and what we have at this club - the people, the values, the commitment to doing the right thing in a distorted and immoral world.

Or you can just accuse the board of corruption and call for Steve Bruce to be manager......but really, where is that going to get anyone?
