the poor decision making wasn't this season

it was all those extended contracts given when we got promoted last time (admittedly some of those we were obliged to give). That tied our hands this time as we had too much expensive dead wood to freshen up the squad.

That said it is easy to see that in hindsight, but was there a clamour to get rid of the likes of Bassing and Whitts two years ago when they had just played key roles in our promotion?
