But I can't get over the fact that one of the two candidates for President of the United States has now explicitly said that he'll imprison the other candidate if he wins.

That's not what candidates do in democracies. It's what dictators do. It's what Putin did to Khodorkovsky. It's what people like Assad do to their opponents.

I know it's been, and is being, asked by plenty of others. But how, just how did the US come to this?
