Its not just the US. The recent rise in nationalism around the world is just a product of the fact the recent economic upturn has not been equally shared.

The working class have been left behind while the CEOs have been handing themselves huge pay rises.

Those left behind are looking to blame someone.

Be it politicians for their decisions or immigrants for "taking our jobs"
Brexit was basically the same anti-establishment reaction regardless of the validity of the message.
