My beer belly. It's over between us. its time to go. Advice?

I need to get rid of this monster I carry about with me. Has anyone ever tried to do this? What do I have to do?

With the weather soon to improve, I guess I can do more cycling or walking, and can avoid carbs? Is that what I have to do?

What about some excercises at home? Where to begin? Situps?
