The game is f**ked in my opinion. We can't compete with the big boys any more - and may never do so.

Does that mean we give up? Well, maybe it does, if it's totally futile and losses just mount up year on year. Otherwise, you're right, we should be competing around the top of the Championship and the bottom of the Prem; but is that even worth it if it means spending more and more money with no hope of ever getting it back?
