Just to clear up some of the roulette info from the thread below.

The house edge on single zero roulette is 2.70% and double zero 5.26%.
A double zero with "en prison" is around 2.63%

Its a stupid bet fro a number of reasons because the utility of doubling $136,000 is not as great as having nothing.

Simple example. If you have 5 million in the bank, having 10 million doesnt change your life style at all.
Having nothing does a LOT.

Roulette is actually beatable by a number of different methods.
None involve any kind of pure betting methods which cannot overcome the house edge.
