what do you mean by competitive?

I really can't see us being championship contenders next season.
How many of our squad do you think are at that standard? or have that concistency?
Precious few for me.
There is the problem. This squad needs serious long term investmetn and improvement, that is highly unlikely to be achieved in one hit, in one close season.
I do think we could be playoff contentders next year, but i'd be incredibly surprised to see us higher.
The job Roeder has got here is massive, surely we can all see that from games such as QPR away, and even the recent results.
There is a distinct lack of quality in this squad, and that's going to take a while to resolve.
