Joe Royle

I think if you got Joe Royle in he might do a job for you. Not all town fans thought highly of him but fact is we were in a similar position to you when he came in and we finished 7th place. Then came two seasons contending for playoffs whilst not having a penny to spend (in fact we had to sell sell sell). He steadied the ship at a very difficult time and opinions about the long ball under him were exaggerated.

The time came where Royleserved his purpose but Town were left better off for having him as a manager.

I realise his Town connection will mean he is soiled goods to some of you but it's not that inconcievable compared to say, Redknapp going from Pompey to Southampton then back to Pompey.

What d'ya think? This is not a wind up.
