Football is unpredictable. But so is ordering a range of clothes for a store which may or may not sell. Or investing in new machines or equipment in the hope of business picking up to generate more revenue.

In football you hire managers, and buy players, or invest in the ground etc etc. You keep making financial decisions on where to spend money. If you make unwise decisions you go out of business, or in football, get relegated.
