I think the player market is very hard to judge

From outside (in terms of value).

Some of the players will have had large signing on fees/cut of transfer fees, but less in the way of wages.

Others we'll have picked up on a free, but be paying for out of wages.

As such, I'm a bit reticent to say that was a good /cheap signing, that one was poor. We only ever know when it comes to getting rid time.

It's the churn in the modern teams that I find discombobulating. Sainz, or Sara or Rowe for example have a decent stretch of 4-5 months and get sold on... Just seems tricky to build a team these days.
