Well yes but

that might be true if we were able to keep the ones we want from this squad and build on it but we all know that next season we are very likely to start the season without Sarge, Sainz, Doyle, Kenny, Duffy and perhaps Angus, Nunez, Wright and a few more.

The concern for me is that. That this squad doesn’t feel like a platform on which to build, but rather that next season will be spent completing that platform, and only after that will we have the basis on which to build. I think Hoff feels the same given his comments about being patient for another three years.

Having said that, the transition from Farke’s first season squad to second was also quite dramatic.
