If half of them leave, going to need a lot more than 6,500 teachers.

And of course the more that leave the lower the VAT receipts and the fewer new teachers you can pay for anyway.

Be interesting to see what happens. Some schools may cope with the reduction in numbers by stopping giving away bursaries to poor kids, for example. Likely to be lots of unintended consequences.
