I don't think Southgate's system is at all striker friendly, particularly not for someone like Kane that wants the ball into his feet and doesn't thrive when isolated.

Bit like how Holt went from looking amazing under Lambert to struggling badly under Hughton.

If the system doesn't suit the striker, change the system or pick a different player.

I think Toney might suit it better as he's more used to playing that way at Brentford.
