I hate football sometimes.

It is basically just luck, with money meaning you are less reliant on luck, but its still the ultimate deciding factor.

We pretend it isn't but we don't know Farke would be great, or that Pukki would be great, or that Emi would finally knuckle down etc. We hoped that would happen.

All recruitment is a gamble, you lessen it as much as you can with your due diligence but the risk is always there.
Plus you can only appoint someone who wants it.
