VMT - I often post this, but being a football fan is all about hope I think

Wagner offers very little hope. No chance of ever being a top 2 side playing his way, maybe we could scrape the playoffs again, but inevitably get thrashed.

Someone different offers hope, and hope brings excitement and energy, even if the reality is worse results, it still makes for more excitement in the short term
