I agree with your point from an entertainment perspective within the season.

What I mean is there are 24 teams every season waiting to take your place if you get relegated from the PL. If that happens, you’re then one of those teams trying to get promoted.

Without relegation in the US, you can have a bad season and there’s no real cost to it. That isn’t the case here.

NCFC are competing in a pyramid made up of hundreds of clubs. US sports teams are up against how many? 12 or something?
