Punching above one’s weight is subjective
How can a team assess their own potential “weight”? Are Brighton or Brentford punching above their weight with the financial resources they have? Did we punch above our weight for the two promotions? If so then are we underachieving since or have we returned to where our expectations should be?
If a team punches above their perceived weight for a prolonged period of time (eg Brighton), then when does it stop being above weight and start to be an expected level?
I doubt any fan base would have a common opinion on this.
