I'm really sorry to hear that Tombs
My Dad died with very late stage vascular dementia. It was pretty horrible. You lose them a little bit at a time and it's heartbreaking. I tried to focus on what was possible rather than what wasn't, what was still there rather than what was lost. I don't think it did it very well. Sending big old internet hugs to you and yours x
