So sorry to hear that Tombs

Dementia in particular is a bastard way for human being to see out their last years on this earth. It doesn't help you but my brother in law who was once "someone" with his work but mainly a son, father, husband etc who took my own father into his home for 21 years, for which I'll be eternally grateful, is now just a shell. My sister can do nothing right so has had the last 5 years of daily arguments, clearing up after him (i.e.changing the bed clothes every day) etc etc and now like today he sits staring out into the garden in silence. He obviously doesn't know he's also been diabetic all his life so that adds a challenge for monitoring food and injections several times a day. All you can do is your best for them both while thinking at least that's not me confused and lost not knowing what's happening from one minute to the next. While I'm sure you have your own loving support group around you if you ever want to chat, scream or shout and swear over a bear let me know.
