Anyone have experience of claiming constructive dismissal?

Have been off work the last couple of months with work related stress - primarily triggered by a email to internals and externals from a senior member of staff criticising my performance (oh-er!).

I'll be officially handing my notice in and have an exit interview with HR, but wondering do I really need the stress of a constructive dismissal from a company I've only been at for 18 months, or better to just leave for self preservation.
I'm not quite living hand to mouth, so financially it wouldn't be crippling without money for a period. Thank f**k Norwich have played well this season for some positivity this year!
