Lambert and the Mysterious Case of the Five Year Contract

So this is just my theory on Lambert and the Five Year Contract:-
When Lambert had success with us, his value was high. He was touted for various 'big' club jobs including Liverpool and Villa and he didn't need to particularly respect us as a club nor return the love from the fans. He took every opportunity to take a pop at the supporters. If we ever drew a match against someone we were 'expecting' to win and the usual, albeit very small, minority of idiots would boo, Lambert would seize the opportunity to slate all the fans. He could do this. He knew that he was on his way up and quite frankly didn't give a monkey's.
Of course history now tells us he wasn't a very good manager at all which he proved at a succession of clubs, culminating in Blackburn. Meanwhile our friends from the fine town of Greater Colchester wanted that 'awful' manager Mr McCarthy sacked and so dear old Marcus Evans (the one of limitless pound notes who I suspect supplied a big case of ten pound notes to those scamps from Greater Colchester to wave in our faces at Carrow Road) had to search for a new manager.
Now I believe that Lambert was seen by Evans as good for his own short term popularity in that it was a bit of a snub toward Norwich. Similarly this was very much last chance for Lambert with a club of any size. Therefore Lambert set about wooing the good folk of GC and they swallowed it hook line and sinker despite the fact that their new manager bounce never materialised and it ignored the fact that, apart from his time at Colchester and Norwich, he had failed as a manager. Of course all this deception routine was compounded with his little display at Carrow Road where, despite being beaten three nil, Lambert managed to garner further support from his new adoring fans with his premeditated attempt to fight Norwich players and staff. This of course proved to any doubting GC fans just how much he loved his new club and despised Norwich.
So the five year contract, how does this tie in? Well once Lambert got them to the top of the League he saw his opportunity to make sure that when this job goes tits up, he can walk away with one last decent pay day, because surely it'll be his last of any significance. So he started coming out with nonsense about the possibility of walking away from the club, which caused the inevitable reaction from GC fans. Now Evans was in a difficult position. If he did walk (he was never going to!) then imagine just how restless the fans would be! His life would've been unbearable and he'd have had a serious problem. So, Evans relents and Lambert wangles his way into a five year contract. Now, if he's sacked he walks away with a decent pay off and there is no way he will leave without a pay off.
