well except that was Johnson not apologising for things that Johnson had said

whereas Corbyn was being asked to apologise for something that the Chief Rabbi believed was the case (and being critical, it's not that clear what Neil was really asking him to apologise for).

I don't like the guy but I have some sympathy on this.
