it is not a good thing at all
it's a disaster. we've had several years now of complete logjam - it's having a dreadful effect on people's view of parliament/politicians and it's led to no outcome ..
ironically, I think if BJ won a proper majority he'd pretty much ditch the right of his Party, which he wouldn't need any more (as he did the DUP and as most party leaders on both sides have always done). He himself is centre right ("a brexiteer Michael Heseltine" I think he/someone described him as). The problem is where you have a very slim majority in which case the nutters have a disproportionate amount of power (see some coalitions)
