if your not keen on the passes

what smart people do in the uk is check the price of a train ticket on a normal site like trainline and then a ticket split site , its not allways cheaper but sometimes its a lot cheaper , just make yourself aware of the conditions of travel when splitting tickets normally the train has to stop at certain stations
