Not really free speech is it its more free thought

Many people who are devoutly religious thing that same sex relationships are against their religion. For that reason I could see the original anti gay "marriage" argument even though I myself don't agree with it and couldn't give two hoots if people of any sexual preference want to be married.

Where I would take issue with what he said is that he things same sex relationships should be illegal. That to me is extreme and no better than hard line Islam for example.

However, I do believe that people should be allowed to think what they want provided they don't act on it in a way that is discriminatory. If people think their views are wrong or outdated then they should also be able to say that but we should be able to have a respectful conversation about it without calling people c**ts or abusing them.
