stuff like this is why persevering with reading a board like this is actually a good thing.

It is *so* easy to get locked into your own world, where all the people you hear from have similar views to you, or at least same assumptions about things. But there are millions of people out there with really, really different views. Including some that most of us just find incredible or even abhorrent.

on here, it's been obvious before that Highlander is very (very, very) conservative. Well now we know that conservatism veers well into being completely intolerant of other peoples' sexual preferences, if they're not the same as his - to the point that the law just shouldn't allow those people to be open about it.

But before we just get horrified or whatever, we should remember that there are millions who think the same. And there's a major political party out there whose members largely share that view, who are about to choose our prime minister. Without input from the other 65 million of us.

Useful to peer into others' bubble sometimes.
