Probably just put DND on the door. However, if you do that for longer than a day or two I
am sure it raises questions. Or should.
If I am at a hotel for just a couple of days and really rarely in the room, then I will often leave the DND on. I have enough towels, bog roll, shower items etc and don't make much of a mess. I am sure many people do the same, but if it were me I might start wondering what they are trying to hide after 3 or 4 days. He was in there for 4 days right ? Probably just long enough for them to find it strange but not quite long enough to go as far as challenging him on it... Another indication that he planned it all pretty well.
