I dont understand how he got such an arsenal of weapons into the hotel

even if you accept that an American has a right to bear arms is there no security at all in a hotel, is it acceptable to check in that amount of weaponry, no metal detectors or security checks, did the cleaners given he was there for several days beforehand not notice anything odd in the room
