Certainly there have been points in the last 3 years where we could have

appointed the likes of Big Sam or Hodgson and in the season we appointed Adams had we sacked Hughton early enough we definitely could have got a biggish name had we chosen to.

I'm not saying that is the right course for us now and am optimistic about Farke but we are no smaller than any of the bottom half prem sides or any other club in the championship aside from maybe Leeds and Shef Weds (but we have parachute payments for now to make up for that).
