Very true.

But some governments are worse with public money than others. The conservatives will not increase taxes for public spending, but are obsessed with wasting money on structures. I talk about education, as it's my field. Apologies for going on... I'm sure health is similar. Since coming to power the Tories have completely messed up assessment across the board, introduced a new exam system, tried forced academisation, set up Multi Academy Trusts where CEOs regularly earn £200,000+ (one CofE Trust recently paid out £150,000 severance to a failed CEO) and are trying to introduce Grammar Schools. NONE of these things have or will raise standards and have cost a fortune. All of this whilst cutting budgets and overseeing a recruitment crisis.
